ArkScan – Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-03-08

This Privacy Policy describes how ArkScan (the “App”) by ArkSoft Labs handles user data. We aim to keep the App lightweight and privacy-friendly.

Data we collect

ArkScan is designed to function without requiring personal information. The App may display ads (if enabled). Advertising partners may collect limited data to serve ads, such as device identifiers and ad interaction data, according to their policies.

Ads (AdMob)

If the App uses Google AdMob, Google may collect data for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention. You can review Google’s policies in their documentation and your device ad settings.

App permissions

ArkScan does not require sensitive permissions to operate in normal use. If permissions are added in future updates, this policy will be updated accordingly.

Children’s privacy

The App is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us to request deletion.

Google Drive Integration

ArkScan optionally connects to a user's Google Drive account to synchronize documents created inside the ArkScan app. This connection is only used for cloud backup and cross‑device synchronization of documents scanned by the user.

ArkScan uses the Google Drive drive.file permission. This means the application can only access files that were created or opened by ArkScan. ArkScan does not analyze, read, or transmit the contents of user documents to ArkSoft Labs servers. All documents remain stored only in the user's Google Drive and local device storage.

Users can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the app settings. If the connection is removed, ArkScan will stop syncing documents with Google Drive.

Changes

We may update this policy as the App evolves. The latest version will be posted on this page.
